From Parachute Jumping to Camping, Stag and Hen Parties to good old fashioned Sessuins, Bowling nights to Weekends away, Astoria Gaels members are always up for a laugh. The 17th Annual Astoria Gaels Dinner Dance took place on Saturday March 28th , 2009 in the Pig and Whistle in Manhattan. The Club person of the Year was awarded to Dan Harrington from Cork. In the Players awards Shan Munnelly from Leitrim won the Players Gaelic Player of the Year and fellow Leitrim man Alan Foley won the the Managers Gaelic Player of the Year; Alan Murdoch from Louth won the Players Soccer Player of the Year and Nestor Allen from Westmeath won the Soccer Team Managers Player of the Year. Well done to the Dance and Journal Committees and everyone else who helped in making the night a great success.
